Who it is for
Updated 16 September 2026
Members come from across sectors and regions: policymakers, corporates, NGOs and international organisations, community leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and founders, funders and investors, innovation and design practitioners, ecosystem builders, technology developers, business mentors, and storytellers.
Organisations use the platform to host challenges, learning journeys, communities of practice and partnership spaces.
Individuals use it to find people working on the problems they care about, take part in challenges, learn, and put their own work in front of people who can help move it forward.
Three roles come up throughout this guide:
- Members take part. They join groups and challenges, contribute work, and respond to each other.
- Facilitators, also called moderators, run challenges. They design the journey, set the work, and keep a cohort moving.
- Observers follow a challenge without taking part in it. Funders and evaluators are the usual examples. They can see the work but are not assigned any and do not appear in progress figures.
