Methodology

About Us Means All of Us

When we say “us,” we don’t just mean the team behind this platform. We mean the full spectrum of people who come together here to tackle complex challenges. From policymakers to grassroots leaders, from entrepreneurs to funders, from researchers to storytellers, everyone has a role to play.

Each of these groups faces its own challenges. The Innovators Team exists to connect them, support them, and create value for everyone involved

Policymakers and government leaders often struggle with fragmented pilots and limited evidence to guide decisions. On this platform, they access trusted insights, tested ideas, and partners who help de-risk and scale inclusive policies.

Corporates and multinationals want to align business goals with impact but find it hard to build credible partnerships. Here, they connect with vetted innovators and co-create solutions that advance both business and social goals.

Our Shared Beliefs

Full-spectrum inclusion leads to stronger solutions

Our strength comes from the full spectrum of perspectives. We bring together social entrepreneurs, government leaders, community organizers, funders, developers, mentors, academics, corporate partners, MEL experts, and storytellers. Together, these voices help unpack what is not working and expand the toolkit for building what comes next. Inclusion is not just about who is invited—it is about how we solve challenges together.

We acknowledge that systems are complex. Fixing broken systems requires more than technical solutions or quick wins. It demands patience, perspective, and the courage to look beyond what is urgent and toward what is possible. And we apply that same vision to ourselves. Today, this platform may serve the needs of a single organisation tackling a single challenge. But over time, we are building something deeper: a shared infrastructure of trust, momentum, and commitment to make systems work for everyone.

We work in the world as it is, not as we wish it to be. That means listening before designing, aligning with realities on the ground, and making decisions rooted in experience, not just theory. We stay close to communities, local dynamics, and institutional constraints. Being grounded does not mean playing small; it means being true to yourself. It means being relevant and understanding people’s behaviours today in order to help shift them, step by step.

We don’t wait for perfect conditions. We try, test, learn, and adapt because change doesn’t happen by playing it safe. We value the insights behind why things didn’t work, as they help us move forward with greater clarity and humility. We build to learn, not to impress. And we share what fails, not just what shines. Innovation grows through practice, not polish.

We are deliberate in how we work, build, and relate. We look beyond the boundaries of individual projects, designing for continuity rather than one-off outcomes. The Insights, data, and relationships from one project are elevated to a platform level, allowing everyone to use them for designing future solutions and strengthening long-term collaboration. This platform serves as a home base for those who want to build trust, grow momentum, and stay connected beyond a single grant, timeline, or team.

We work across sectors, worldviews, and power dynamics with care and clarity. We don’t avoid tension. We create space for honesty, shared ownership, and common ground. Being diplomatic means approaching disagreement with respect and curiosity, and designing processes where people can speak openly without becoming divided. We build differently so that we can do better, together.
